News:

Kibworth Joint Burial Committee has recently undertaken a significant memorial safety inspection at the cemetery. This is in order to ensure the safety of those using and working at the cemetery. The Committee is in the process of contacting all family members with affected memorials.

The Joint Burial Committee was formed by the Parish Councils in 1974 and currently comprises of seven members, being four Councillors from Kibworth Beauchamp and three from Kibworth Harcourt.

The JBC meets bi-monthly to approve memorials that are put forward and to agree any expenditure for the upkeep of the ground, as well as dealing with any matters that may arise. Meeting dates and agendas are posted on the notice boards situated in the cemetery itself, at the front of Jubilee Green, Main Street, Kibworth Harcourt, on the stream bridge, New Road, Kibworth Harcourt, Kibworth Meadows and High Street, Kibworth Beauchamp. All parishioners are welcome to attend the meetings which are held on the second Tuesday of the month commencing at 7.15pm at Kibworth Community Library, Paget Street, Kibworth Beauchamp.

The approved minutes are available for inspection in Kibworth Library. All agendas and approved minutes are also posted on this website.

The old records for the cemetery are kept at Wigston Record Office and more recent records are kept with the Clerk, Mrs Christina Baker.
