Cllr. Philip Bothwell
Philip was first elected May 2015, and lives on Carlton Road, Kibworth Harcourt.
I am one of the new councillors serving on KHPC, and whilst this is my first time on any local government organisation, I do have many years experience in business serving on & chairing committees. I have lived in Kibworth for more than 20 years, as have many of my own & my wife's family.
I have two particular responsibilities on the Parish Council; I am currently chairman of the Kibworth Joint Burial Committee. Additionally, I serve as the Parish council member liaison with the new allotments society, whom I heartily recommend to all keen gardeners in the villages to support.
My area of specific interest is to help ensure that all future development within the village is controlled within the Neighbourhood Plan and that developers provide the necessary infrastrucure (adequate roadways & junctions, drainage, education & healthcare buildings, open spaces, etc.) to maintain the quality of living for both the incumbent population and newcomers. We must all work together to keep the village a healthy rural community.
